2. Hosting and Server Log Files

2.1 What data is processed for what purpose?

Each time content on the website is accessed, data that may allow identification is temporarily stored. This is the following information, which remains stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • Date and time of access
  • IP address
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Website from which the website was accessed
  • Page visited on our website
  • Message indicating whether the request was successful
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Information about the browser type and version used
  • Operating system

The temporary processing and storage of the data is necessary to enable the delivery of the website. Further processing and storage in log files takes place to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of the information technology systems, as well as for administrative purposes.

The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest results from the purposes of data collection listed above.

2.3 Recipients

Your data is received by the web host and, where applicable, its service providers, who carry out the hosting and technical delivery of the website and act as processors.

2.4 Transfer to Third Countries

The aforementioned data processing may also take place in the USA as a third country. Our web host is certified under the so-called EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF); the data transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the Commission.

3. Contact Form

If you send us a message via the contact form on this website, we process the data you enter (name, email address and message) in order to answer your enquiry.

The form transmits your details to us by email via a Microsoft service (Azure Logic Apps, region West Europe) as processor. Microsoft is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The data is only transmitted when you submit the form.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry aims at a contract (e.g. a booking), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We store your data for as long as necessary to process your enquiry and delete it afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations apply. The same applies if you contact us directly by email or phone.

4. Google Maps

This website offers a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is only loaded once you click “Load map” or “Don’t ask again”. Until then, no connection to Google is established; instead, a preview image stored by us is displayed in place of the map.

When you load the map, your browser connects to Google’s servers. In particular, your IP address, browser and device information and the page accessed are transmitted to Google, and Google may set its own cookies. The data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For how Google processes the data, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the cookie cc_maps (see section 5) in your browser and reloading the page.

5. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for reach measurement, analytics or advertising. Fonts are loaded from our own server.

A cookie is only stored if you click “Don’t ask again” at the map:

cc_maps Remembers your consent to load the Google Maps map automatically 182 days (6 months) this website

If you only click “Load map”, the map is loaded for this page view without your decision being stored. Once the map is loaded, Google may additionally set its own cookies (see section 4).

6. Your Rights as a Data Subject

  • You can request information under Art. 15 GDPR about the personal data we process about you.
  • If the information concerning you is (no longer) accurate, you can request rectification under Art. 16 GDPR. If your data is incomplete, you can request completion.

  • You have the right under Art. 18 GDPR to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time under Art. 7(3) GDPR (see section 4). The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
  • If the conditions of Art. 20(1) GDPR are met, you have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to third parties.
  • If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you have the right under Art. 77(1) GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority of your choice. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at, email: [email protected].

7. Right to Object under Art. 21(1) GDPR

You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The collection of data for providing the website and the storage of log files are strictly necessary for operating the website.
